Crewing Operations is the key to managing the Shipping operations, right from the beginning of a Ship takeover. The team at Oran Shipping Services ensures only the skilled and trained seafarer from our in house training facility, Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) join the fleet. SIMS with its branches in four cities of India – Lonavala, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Cochin provides a wide gamut of pre and post courses under Mercantile Marine Department, Ministry of Shipping Government of India in addition to scores of company specific value added courses

OSS follows the one nationality policy on board to avoid any miscommunication and consequent breach of safety rule on board. To ensure parity in our training standards, the seven recruiting cum training offices in India follow consistent policy of adhering to the STCW95 Conventions, as amended and ISM codes.

 Administration
The crewing team at ESM provides all administrative aspects of crew requirements including travel plan for joining vessel, visa, repatriation, payment and accounting of wages, overtime and bonus.

All assistance regarding medical tests, fitness certifications and working gear as per safety/environmental protection policy of the Company. The team also ensures all certifications are in place under the flag state requirements.

New building Supervision 

With over 65 per cent of our fleet being new build delivery from the yard,OSS is highly regarded in the field of taking over new vessels . We have been involved in new building and conversion supervision projects till it’s conclusion.
